An experiment in writing in public, one page at a time, by S. Graham, I. Milligan, & S. Weingart

What this site is not

1 Leave a comment on paragraph 1 0 What you will find listed here under ‘contents’ should not be understood as something that one reads from top to bottom, in that order. We are using Scrivener to write this volume in small chunks, and we are constantly re-organizing and re-jigging as we develop our ideas (see our post on our process). Consequently, we do not mean to imply any particular order in which you should read or browse these materials

2 Leave a comment on paragraph 2 0 We sometimes will see a conversation on Twitter, which sparks a conversation amongst ourselves. “Do we add something about compression techniques?” “What about regex?” “Should this how-to be part of the main text, or a sidebar?”. This means that new pieces will be put up on this site over the coming Autumn 2013 semester. When we feel that a portion can stand the daylight and the scrutiny of the outside world, we will put it up on this site.

3 Leave a comment on paragraph 3 0 This site then is not the complete just-need-to-fix-the-typos final draft. Some pieces might get revamped immediately in the light of your comments, and reposted quite quickly; other pieces might remain on the site with only cursory changes to be made for that final version.

4 Leave a comment on paragraph 4 0 This site is the draft-that-you-might-show-trusted-friends-after-you’ve-been-at-it-for-a-while. Caveat lector!
